1. The Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps consists of:-

(a) A Corps Battery.

An Engineer Company.

Corps Signals.

(b) A Machine Gun Battalion consisting of

A Troop.

An Armoured Car Section.

A Motor Machine Gun Section. 3 Machine Gun Companies. Machine Gun Battalion Signals.

(c) Corps Infantry (Portuguese) of

1 Rifle Company

1 Anti-Aircraft Light Automatic Company.

(d) A Medical Section.

(e) A new Air Arm Unit has recently been formed.

Candidates become eligible for selection to this unit after one year's efficient service. in the Corps.

(f) Auxiliary Units.

Army Service Corps Cadre.

Railway Operating Detachment Cadre (Operating

Section) and (Construction Section).

2. Service may be rendered in the form of

8 ) Colour Service.

Reserve Service.

c) Reserve of Officers.

3. The initial period of engagement is 3 years, which may be

extended at the desire of the individual concerned.

4. The Reserve consists of Volunteers who

(a) having completed 3 years Colour Service on the Active list of a Regular or Volunteer Unit are desirous, for special reasons, of transferring to the Reserve, or

(b) are medically unfit for Colour Service or

(c) have satisfied the Commandant that they are, for

other reasons, unable to carry out the training required of a Colour Service Volunteer.

5. The Reserve of Officers consist of Officers who, by reason

of age or special circumstances, are unable to continue in

the Colour Service.

6. Pay.

In peace time Volunteers are paid for each day's attendance

at the Annual Camps. In war all ranks will receive pay and

allowances as may be prescribed by His Excellency the

Governor in Council.
